The Scintillon Institute Investigator Jiwu Wang and collaborators have published a new publication describing the generation of universal platelets from human induced pluripotent stem cells.
The research, which appears online in Stem Cell Reports (Volume 3, Issue 5)− the official journal of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) and published by Cell Press – by The Scintillon Institute Jiwu Wang and his colleagues, shows that it is feasible to generate megakaryocytes and platelets from iPSCs in a scalable manner under feeder-free defined conditions.
