The 6th International Cryo‑EM Symposium (6th International Conference on Three‑Dimensional Cryo‑EM Image Analysis) was held in late March 2026 (March 18–21) at the Granlibakken Conference Center in Lake Tahoe, California. Organized by the Scintillon Research Institute, the biennial meeting brought together international experts in cryo‑EM and cryo‑ET for in‑depth, highly interactive discussions on advances in image analysis methods, automation, modeling and validation, tomogram segmentation, and deep‑learning–based approaches.
The program featured extended discussion sessions, poster presentations with selected short talks, and a keynote address by Professor Bridget Carragher (Chan Zuckerberg Initiative). Dr. Dorit Hanein and Dr. Niels Volkmann, both with adjunct affiliations to the Scintillon Research Institute, presented their work at the symposium, contributing to the open exchange of ideas that characterizes this long‑standing forum for the cryo‑EM image analysis community.
