Scintillon shines light on new alliance with Tokyo University of Technology

Scintillon Institute, a rapidly growing non-profit science research institute focused on fostering the research to develop tomorrow’s breakthrough technologies, proudly announces its signing of a mutual agreement to explore the potential for collaborative research and study opportunities with the School of Bioscience and Biotechnology of Tokyo University of Technology (“TUT”),
Scintillon Institute, a rapidly growing non-profit science research institute focused on fostering the research to develop tomorrow’s breakthrough technologies, proudly announces its signing of a mutual agreement to explore the potential for collaborative research and study opportunities with the School of Bioscience and Biotechnology of Tokyo University of Technology (“TUT”), a comprehensive science and technology university with a commitment to practical education necessary to create the globally competitive scientific researcher. In a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions, cooperation to further academic exchange was the name of the game for both involved.
“This exciting opportunity for trans-Pacific collaborations brings a new level to our development,” stated Scintillon Institute’s Founding Chair Dr. Jiwu Wang, “Scintillon’s diligent focus on funding research and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration combined with TUT’s concentration on creating internationally competent researchers with independent, creative mindsets form the perfect partnership to create forward focused, solution-driven contributions to society.”
Scintillon joins TUT’s other partners, Carnegie Mellon University, the Communication University of China, the Berlin University of Technology, and the University of Perpignan, to help train market-ready students for international research collaborations; and TUT students may access hands-on training at Scintillon’s newly acquired state-of-the-art Neural Degenerative Disease Research Center, the Stem Cell Core, the Imaging Core, and associate with key leaders in the field at the annual Cytometry Development Workshop series, co-organized by Scintillon.
This cooperation will extend through a wide range of activities to include research, study, and consulting projects, participation in joint seminars, lectures, training, and academic meetings, as well as the prospect for proposals of joint workshops and conferences. Both parties may exchange academic staff for teaching and research and students for study opportunities that may blossom into future potential research. The agreement spans five years with the possibility of renewal.
