The Scintillon Institute Reports the Publication of Research on the Scalable Generation of Universal Platelets from Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC)

The Scintillon Institute Investigator Jiwu Wang and collaborators have published a new publication describing the generation of universal platelets from human induced pluripotent stem cells.

The research, which appears online in Stem Cell Reports (Volume 3, Issue 5)− the official journal of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) and published by Cell Press – by The Scintillon Institute Jiwu Wang and his colleagues, shows that it is feasible to generate megakaryocytes and platelets from iPSCs in a scalable manner under feeder-free defined conditions.
